Acumentis is pleased to announce the launch of its new service of Self Managed Super Fund (SMSF) Restricted Property Assessment reports into the commercial and residential property sectors.
This additional service offered by Acumentis addresses the need for SMSF trustees to provide compliant market value estimates to the Australian Tax Office (ATO) of their SMSF assets.
Some of the most common hurdles trustees face is the cost and timing to obtain advice in relation to the market value of their SMSF assets. The new service being offered by Acumentis is cost effective and delivered efficiently responding to the challenge’s trustees face.
With changing market conditions, especially during the Coronavirus pandemic and limitations around access to current relevant supporting data, it can be difficult for a trustee to provide compliant reports in line with ATO requirements.
The ATO recommends funds consider the use of a qualified independent valuer if either the:
- value of the asset represents a significant proportion of the fund's value – or
- nature of the asset indicates that the valuation is likely to be complex or difficult.
At Acumentis we continue to service our clients’ needs whilst following all government advice and best practice safety procedures.
We utilise the scale and spread of our national network of over 300 property professionals to fully support our clients and are proud to be delivering a service to overcome the hurdles trustees face.
Acumentis registered valuers are now equipped to deliver cost effective assessment reports based on their wealth of expertise, local and asset specific knowledge and market insights of the process that may be missed if using other third-party providers
These assessments are completed using methodology and data to ensure ATO compliance and delivered in a very short time frame of two business days, providing clients with the information and confidence they need for SMSF reporting.
